The dog, intermediary between man and nature
For me, dogs are the perfect intermediary between the human world and the untouched and wild natural world, which in many ways has become unknown to us. All dogs, be they hunting dogs or pet dogs, are wonderful creatures, capable of putting themselves completely at our service, while managing to maintain their character and a certain independence.
Hunting
Dogs have the ability to constantly change their environment. The magical atmosphere of the Alps can instantly become the scene of a drama thanks to the dog's hunting: the tension in the imminent ambush of the prey becomes palpable, it transforms the scene and instantly becomes unique and incomparable.
Morphology and expressiveness of dogs in paintings
Dogs have always been part of my life. Since childhood and especially in adulthood, I have always wanted them to be with me, in my everyday life as well as on my mountain excursions, to enjoy their great and noble company. They have thus become one of my favourite subjects and I find it extremely easy to capture the emotions they inspire on canvas: the expression on their faces, their movement, their stillness are certainly the most significant moments.
